Ettore Biondi received a B.Sc. (2010) in geology from the University of Genoa, an M.Sc. (2012) in geophysics from the University of Pisa, and a diploma (2013) in computational chemistry from the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa. He obtained his Ph.D. in Geophysics from Stanford University in 2021. In 2021, he joined Caltech first as a postdoctoral researcher. In 2023, he joined the Southern California Seismic Network as a research scientist working on earthquake early warning systems based on distributed acoustic sensing data. In 2025, he will join the Geophysics Department of Stanford University as an assistant professor.
