Brett is an attorney, advocate, and trusted advisor to electric utility companies on a broad array of transactional, regulatory and policy issues that impact utility infrastructure. Brett supports utilities in their efforts to deploy broadband infrastructure, and helps them to understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect broadband projects. She also advises utility companies on property rights issues that impact the deployment of broadband facilities, and represents them in franchise and easement negotiations. In recent years, Brett has worked to broker a number of partnerships between utilities and communications entities for the expansion of broadband to unserved communities. For almost two decades, Brett has worked with utilities on pole attachment and other FCC issues and advocated the positions of the industry before the FCC.
