Robin Smyth is the owner and president of GP&A and also serves as one of the company’s principal engineers specializing in telecommunications system design and implementation. Mr. Smyth’s 52 years of electric utility experience and 35 plus years of consulting to a wide variety telecommunication operating companies and agencies utilizing wired and wireless systems, provides a broad cross section of communications experience and applied knowledge. Mr. Smyth's 45 years of helping utilities, design and implement analog and digital microwave systems, fiber optic systems and terminals, mobile radio system upgrades and point multi-point wireless data systems. Mr. Smyth is a unique resource who, having worked with Public Safety agencies; wired and wireless communications service providers; water, electric and natural gas system control and protective relaying systems; Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA); AC and DC power systems including stand-by generation understands the importance of Critical Infrastructure and 24-7 operations.
