Leon Machado is the Principal Manager for Southern California Edison's Field Area Network program and holds a bechelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Calfornia State Polytechnic University in Pomona. Leon has been with SCE over 40 years in various enigneeirng and management positions in the telecommuincations and IT. He currently leads the Field Area Network program responsible for the design and buildout of SCE's private cellular network that will be the foundation for SCE's current and future wireless networks, as well as the Wireless Engineering team responsible for the design, implementation, and lifecycle refresh of SCE's current field wireless networks, which include: NetComm 900MHz Mesh Network, Socket Based Routers and Broadband Global Area Network for Meter Backhaul, Motorola Land Mobile Radio System, iDirect Satellite Network, Starlink for Mobile Command Centers and PSPS events, Load Management Network, Air Operations Radio System and Carrier LTE Communication.
