Rob Butts

Rob Butts serves as the Utility Market Manager for the Communication Systems Business Segment of L3Harris Technologies. He is responsible for managing the utilities, transportation, and industrial vertical markets, expanding the product portfolio by leveraging L3Harris product platforms, and leading partnership strategies with well-matched offerings from members of the Mission Critical Alliance. Rob also manages the professional communications voice of the customer initiatives by investigating market feedback and bringing new solutions to meet customer demand.
Rob joined L3Harris in March 2020 following a 37-year career with Southern Company, working in the telecommunications group at Southern Linc, where he led the Product Engineering organization responsible for developing, testing, and launching voice and data products on both the iDEN and LTE networks. Rob holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Virginia Tech.
