Land mobile radio systems consist of three primary components... Frequency Band (VHF, 220, UHF, 7/800), Modulation (DMR, P25, MPT, Analog), and Mode (Trunked, Conventional). In addition, RF coverage can be provided as multicast or simulcast configurations. This talk shares the various system design, design impacts, and constraints with consideration to end-user mobile and/or portable operations.
