Genevieve Burkindine, a Director of IT Telecom at Duke Energy, is a seasoned technology leader with a diverse background in utility operations and IT management. In her current role she spearheads transport network planning and oversees Carolinas support and delivery for the network that underpins Duke Energy's electric and gas utilities.

Genevieve joined Duke Energy through the merger with Cincinnati Gas & Electric in 2006. Prior to joining telecom in 2019, she managed IT solution teams in support of cyber and physical security, Finance, HR, and document management. Under Genevieve's leadership, telecom, recently exploring Private LTE technology for Duke Energy. This discovery phase has led to the launch of several strategic initiatives aimed at dramatically enhancing the company's cellular capabilities, directly addressing the evolving needs of their utility business functions.

Genevieve resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband. Outside of her professional pursuits, she is an avid quilter and casual hiker. Genevieve also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity Charlotte and cherishes spending quality time with her grandchildren.
