Shondel McPherson is a distinguished accounting and utility operations professional with over 12 years of industry experience and a proven record of excellence in third-party attachments, financial compliance, and revenue recovery. Currently serving as a Distribution Business Team Leader for Wireless, Fiber Optics, and other third-party attachments at Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G), she leads initiatives that bridge operational execution with financial accountability, overseeing critical billing, collections, and attachment contracts across utility infrastructures.
A three-time graduate of Saint Peter’s University—earning her Bachelor’s in Accounting, Master’s in Accounting and Risk Management, and MBA in International Business—Shondel brings a Jesuit-educated foundation of ethical leadership, global perspective, and analytical rigor to her work. Her hands-on experience in applying the FERC Uniform System of Accounts, paired with her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training, positions her to drive operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and regulatory compliance in every aspect of third-party engagement.
With a deep focus on forensic accounting, audit, and compliance, she has developed and authored a white paper on third-party attachments and financial operations, showcasing her thoughtful leadership and forward-thinking approach to utility finance. Her efforts have directly resulted in the recovery of over $10 million in back billing and collections, solidifying her reputation as a high-impact business resource and subject matter expert.
Beyond her technical roles, Shondel serves as a Chairperson for one of PSE&G’s Employee Business Resource Groups for both the Philanthropy and Membership Committees, and is a former UTC Region II Chair, actively shaping policy, fostering professional engagement, and mentoring others in the field. Since the age of 18, she has also been coaching others in basic accounting principles, demonstrating her lifelong commitment to education and empowerment.
